Fabián Caballero (born 1 January 1978) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Guatemalan league champions C.S.D. Municipal.
Born in Misiones, Caballero started his career at Cerro Porteño, before moving on loan to Arsenal in October 1998. He made his debut as a substitute in a 5–0 home defeat by Chelsea on 11 November 1998 in the League Cup, but only made two more appearances that season for Arsenal, one of which was in the league, before returning to Paraguay.
After a spell at Sol de América, he moved back to join Dundee in 2000, initially on loan but eventually permanently. In two spells as a Dundee player (2000–03 and 2004–05), he appeared in 124 games, scoring 21 goals. Caballero returned to Paraguay to play for Olimpia Asunción and Tacuary, but did not have much success. He joined Daejeon Citizen in 2007, but was released by the South Korean side in June 2007. After spending the 2007–08 season in Provincial Osorno, he signed a contract with Panachaiki. Fabian subsequently left Panachaiki under acrimonious circumstances for Club Nacional.
